Plot2k Support

the support system for Plot2k is sub divided in following categories.

Download and Install :

download the file from Plot2k - AutoCAD Batch Plot software. its a zip file which bundles the setup program. unzip it to your desired location and double click the exe file name "Plot2ks". this will start the setup wizards like this.

click next and you should see the step2 of the wizard.

You must read the license agreement and accept it to continue to the next step. click next to continue

You can type the new path or browse for it. if the path does not exist, it will be created. click next to continue.

In this step you can select the program folder name which will appear in your start up menu like Start -> All Programs -> Batch plot drawings. if you don't want to create start menu group, you can check the option "Don't Create a Start Menu Group". Once finish click next to continue.

Additional task: by default it will choose to create desktop and quick launch bar icons. but if you don't want to create, you can uncheck those options. once finished, click next to continue.

Ready to Install: everything is set now, please review your settings and click install to continue to copy the files to the hard disk

Installing: setup will create following files in your hard disk. BatchPlot.exe - will be created in your selected directory of program files. DWGPREV.OCX - will be created in system32 directory of your windows. this file is required to show the drawing preview. MSMAPI32.OCX - will also be created in system32 directory of your windows. this is a windows support file and you might already have it your system. Readme.txt - this is a text file which have some useful information about the program. it will be created in program folder.

after finish copying, setup wizard will give you option to view the "read me" file and launch the "batch plot Drawings". the wizard will look like this.

uncheck whatever you like and click finish to finish the setup wizard. now setup is finish and you are ready to launch the program

Start up :

Before launching the program, please consider that this program will connect itself to AutoCAD. it will load the AutoCAD application in background. but it will take time. so please be patient while launching batch plot drawings. to avoid the wait, you can do one thing. you can load your AutoCAD first and then start Batch Plot Drawings. You can launch the program from desktop, quick launch bar or start up program folders . Click Start -> all programs - batch plot drawings.

If you are launching the batch plot in demo mode. you will get this prompt.

of course you will get 30 days for your trial version to try. so if you want to continue using the trial then click "continue Unregistered". demo warning will go away and main application will load. initially it will look like this.

BASIC FUNCTIONS :

Since you have already started the program, so let's get start and do some business with it. first of all in the browser area, navigate to your desired folder. the path can be either on you hard disks or even network path. just select you desired folder. if you have drawings in subfolders of the selected folder, then in search option area, tick the "include sub directories". quickly the list view area will be filled with the drawing list. scroll to right to see the path, file size, modified date. select any drawing and if that particular drawing have a preview image. this image will appear in Drawing preview area. now your drawings are there in the list box, we need to print. so go to print option area and select the printer first from drop down menu. you will notice that all your printers which you have configured with AutoCAD will be available in drop down menu. once you will select the printer, the paper size list will be refreshed to include those paper size which your printer supports.

Select your desired paper from drop down menu of paper. and then select the CTB file. the CTB or STB files are used by AutoCAD for pen styles. Batch plot Drawings will automatically list all pen style files from your AutoCAD Configuration. Set your desired number of Copies to be printed. now all the settings are there and you can start plotting. but if your drawings have layouts and you want to plot layouts in lieu of Model space. then you can tick "print layouts". Batch plot drawings, by default will print the drawing from Extent View of Model Space. but if Print layout option is ticked, then it will print Extent View of All the layouts in the drawing. So now, all the settings are in place and you want to plot all the drawings listed in List view, simply click "print all". the drawings will be sent to AutoCAD for opening and plotting one by one. and if you want to plot only some selected drawings from the list. then select those drawings in the list (you can use Shift or Control to select multiple drawings like you do in Windows explorer). just select those drawings which you want to plot and right click your mouse button. you will get two options. Print all or print selected. click "print selected drawing" and only those highlighted drawings will be plotted. after all the settings in place, your application will look like this.

Registration :

after install and use of the batch plot drawings, if you like it and want to keep it, then you need to Register it with us. the registration will cost you 39.95$. once you decide to Register the Application, you will need the activation key which you can obtain from us.

to place an order, please note down your Product serial number which you can find in About menu of help. just click "help -> about and you will get this dialogue.

this serial number is unique to your computer and we need this serial number to calculate you activation code. please bring your serial number before placing the order, so that activation key can be passed to you immediately. so you have noted down you serial number, now click on the order page and process your payments. once we will receive the payments, we will pass you the registration code which you can use to unlock your application.

Unlock Your Application :

if you have already received the "Registration key" from us and you want to unlock your application. in the help menu click enter unlock code, the following form will display.

chose the option "register" and click next. the second step will appear.

In the register to Box, Enter your name exactly as it appear on your purchase order and in the registration key box, enter the registration key which you have received from us. make sure the information is correct and then click finish. a confirmation message will appear like this.

if the information is correct then click yes, and if the information will be correct then this message will appear.

What if I forget the key or i change my hard disk :

if you re-install your operating system or you forget the key before you unlock the application. then you can send us an email with your purchase order details and we will pass you the new Registration key free of cost.

Uninstalling Batch Plot Drawings from your system :

to uninstall the program from your system, the uninstaller is provided with it. just point to Start -> All Programs -> Batch Plot Drawings -> uninstall batch plot drawings. the uninstall wizards will start.

Click yes and it will remove all the program files and menu groups from your hard disk. once finish it will prompt like this.

Just Click OK and you are Done.
